We are located 6 1/2 miles northeast of McCoy, Colorado, in southern Routt County, approximately 50 miles south of Steamboat Springs. The ranch is situated on 1,000 private acres and is bordered by Forest Service and BLM lands in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.
How To Get To Black Mountain Ranch
Non-stop flights into the Vail/Eagle County (EGE) airport from cities including Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, New York, Newark, Washington DC, Atlanta and Miami.
The ranch offers complimentary transportation from the Vail/Eagle airport and can arrange transportation from Denver International Airport (DEN) at an additional charge.
Driving Directions
From Denver:
- Take I-70 West to Exit 157 (Wolcott) approximately 120 miles. Turn right off the interstate and turn right at the stop sign. Go 100 yards to the stop sign and take a left onto Highway 6.
- At Wolcott, turn right across the river and take Hwy 131 north towards Steamboat Springs (21 Miles to McCoy)
- Make a right at the sign for McCoy, Conger Mesa Rd. There is a phone located at the community center if needed. The Conger Mesa Road is paved for the first 200 yards then becomes a gravel road for the next 6 miles where it ends at the ranch. Wooden signs are along the road to better direct you.
