We are a Dude Ranch (same thing as a Guest Ranch if you were wondering), which is a working ranch that accepts guests. Today we are finding the Texas Longhorns (no fences here, we really have to go for a long ride to find them) and push them down to the arena where we check for health and brand if they are old enough. It is a fun adventure for guests and staff alike. No two cattle drives are alike. Sometimes they are near the ranch while other times they have bolted to the cool mountain air of the high country. Once we get them into the arena guests get to practice their roping skills on the calfs while trying to avoid the concerned parents. After a great lunch we push them to the high country until next week! Share Print Next Article Sunsets, Horses and the Vast Colorado Landscape Previous The McCoy Stage Road Next
