Almost a month into our summer season, we had a full house at the ranch. 41 guests stayed through the week most of them children. Apart from a little bit of rain on the way to the dinner ride at Jake's Lake the weather was fabulous. Wednesday night provided an extraordinary double rainbow and a stunning sunset. Colorado nature at it's best!   Special guests this week were the Voltin Family. In the spirit of giving back to those that have given so much to us, Black Mountain Ranch continues to support the Vail Veterans program by providing the Voltins a week at the ranch. Justin, a leg amputee with his wife Gabbie, children Drew (7), Abbie (5) and Emmie (2) had a wonderful time and endeared us all to them with their optimism and joy for life. We loved having them. Wrangler and former army officer Matt Nichols was their guide for the week.
