If you have been a guest at the ranch then you know of the infamous Bob-O, and if you have worked in the kitchen… well then you know. Bob-O is the head chef on the ranch and is very well known for his amazing dishes and southern cooking. Bob has been the chef at the ranch since 2007. Crazy I know. Bob has such a passion for cooking and it shows in his food. Bob grew up in lower Alabama or LA as he would say and says he learned to cook from his grandmother and from working in his dads restaurants when he was growing up. If you get a chance to talk to him he has some of the craziest stories and is truly an interesting person. It is amazing the passion he has for cooking and if you get a chance to try his food then you would know too. Bob says it is his last year here at the ranch but he has also been saying that for the past 10 years. He wants to retire but I think he loves cooking so much that that would never really happen. Even if it is actually is last year I think his legacy will live on at the ranch because he truly was the most incredible chef. I was lucky enough to have worked for Bob in the kitchen the previous year and the saying goes if you can work for Bob you can work for anyone and boy is that true. He may be a bit of a stickler but my time working in the kitchen for Bob taught me more than working 6 years in different restaurants. Bob truly is an incredible person and chef and if you are coming to the ranch this year then you are in for a treat.
