Megan Soyars was born in San Antonio, Texas but was raised in the small town of Helotes, Texas. On her father's ranch, she helped raise cows, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens.
After highschool, she attended college at Trinity Universtiy in San Antonio. Since graduating, she has lived in Wyoming and New York City, where she held down a number of jobs, including waitress, housekeeper, book seller and editorial assistant.
A fun fact about Megan is she loves writing. At age 12 she started writing a chapter book and published it at age 19.
Favorite Ranch Memory: Swimming on horseback in John's Pond. She didn't realize horses were such great swimmers!
