We build the week around what you want to do. At Black Mountain Ranch, we are not a nose to tail riding operation. We always divide our guests (We hit capacity at about 40) into smaller groups of 3-7, and take each group out with a different wrangler on different trails. Want to ride after breakfast? Done! Take a long lunch ride and eat on the top of a mountain? Of course! How about a long ride after that to end up at pack camp? Of course! Our schedule is flexible and we are here for you, so spend as much time as you want in the saddle! 2. Delicious Dining!  We take our food seriously! Meet our head Chef, Bob, who serves up delicious meals to all of our guests and staff for breakfast, lunch and dinner! You can take a short or long ride in and once there get read for some fun fishing or paddle boating in the lake and then some fresh eats off the grill hosted by our Wranglers. Back in camp, inside the Arena, our guests and wranglers have a friendly game of egg and spoon! Other than riding, we have ropings, trap and skeet shooting, nature hikes, whitewater rafting, a trip to Steamboat and the rodeo. The options are endless! 4. Pack Camp for the entire Family Pack Camp is one of our favorite nights up at the ranch! You arrive on horseback to your new "home away from home" with the tents already set up and beds made! The Wranglers will greet you with one of our world famous Margaritas and a delicious home cooked meal. Spend the evening around the fire singing, telling stories and playing the guitar. Beautiful Colorado Built Cabins You feel like you are living in mountains at Black Mountain Ranch. We don't have TV's in any of our cabins, so the evenings are spent around the fire or in the saloon. Our cabins are great to share with families, as most are two bedrooms with bunk beds or twins in the second room.
