Meet Jessica Whalen! This is Jessica's second year with us at Black Mountain Ranch. Originally from Brewer, Maine she is currently spending her winters in Utah working on the mountain as ski patrol. At twelve years of age Jessi got her first horse, Ms. Modified, and has been riding ever since. She met her match last summer on the ranch with Indie, and has spent the past two summers training her to be one heck of horse. You will often find her on the weekends at a local barrel racing competition. She is always up for teaching a lesson to anyone who wants to try it and share her infectious passion for horses and riding! Here are a few things you might not know about this cowgirl:  1. Her favorite meal at Black Mountain Ranch is Chef Bob's Prime Rib. 2. In college, she competed on the equestrian and alpine ski team. 3. She has been to 48 out of the 50 United States. 4. She has five tatoos. 5. She is an only child. I asked her which horse was the best kept secret and she was quick to answer " Josephine, the donkey! She is a coffee table for your beer!" Which is Budwiser, of course! ;)
