As soon as the railroad was extended to the Wolcott area in the late 1800s, the stage route was started to carry mail, supplies, and travelers to the area. It served the little towns as far north as Steamboat Springs. Unlike our daily mail service, back then, the mail ran only three round rips per week. Today is Cattle Drive day. We are a Dude Ranch (same thing as a Guest Ranch if you were wondering), which is a working ranch that accepts guests.
